When you need a break from tromping through ruined castles and braining hobgoblins, come spend some time in the misty Lumberlands, a vast expanse of enchanted forest where brawny lumberjacks ply their trade, seek adventure and fortune, and defend the frontier from horrible sasquatches. The Lumberlands is a fine place for the eager adventurer to get into trouble, chase nasty critters, grow a stunning beard, face certain death, and get paid in maple syrup. Join a lumbergang and earn your flannel, if you've got the moxie - then claim a sasquatch pelt or two, and quest for the hidden squirrel city in the treetops beyond the clouds!
Lumberlands is a 32-page rpg zine presenting a humorous mini-setting that can be easily adapted or dropped into your campaign. It is not a linear story or single, detailed adventure site, but instead a conglomeration of hooks, memorable and humorous NPCs, situations, factions, and engaging tables designed to help the DM run the Lumberlands on the fly with minimal preparation. While Lumberlands has a few references to old-school rulesets, it is largely system-agnostic.
